Gorilla Gundam

A heavily armored mecha forged in the image of a silverback gorilla, embodying raw power and relentless agility. Engineered for both brute-force combat and high-speed mobility, it barrels through the battlefield with unstoppable momentum. Its reinforced arms deliver earth-shattering blows, turning close-quarters encounters into utter devastation. With unparalleled speed in closing the distance, it leaves enemies no room to escape.

The mech was sculpted inside of ZBrush with some parts refined inside of Maya. Shane Olson’s set of brushes was incredible for this project and game-changing for me. He’s an artist who’s worked on Disney’s Infinity. That game had a very stylized look, which is what he specializes in and what these brushes are mostly used in. However, similar to the Orb Cracks Brush, it can be used for a variety of purposes, and digital artists often utilize these brushes not only for stylized work. I think it’s important to follow fellow artists and see what tools they have in their kit, try stuff out, and see what sticks. At worst, it’ll be a tool you never use again or, conversely, something that expedites your workflow and makes sculpting even more fun.
