Spider-Man

This character was sculpted using ZBrush and rendered inside of Maya. Rendered in Keyshot and editing/compositing of the image inside Photoshop. Fan art of my favorite Marvel comic book character, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
It was 3D printed using a Form 2 printer. I used ZBrush to create the keys in order to have them printed into parts and assembled.

I loved working on this project; being my favorite character, I knew I’d have a blast sculpting him for 3D printing. Reflecting back on it, while I do like the pose, I think I could’ve gone more extreme with it. Spider-Man is a highly dynamic character with crazy acrobatics. I think this works as a classic pose, but I want to take this as a learning experience that I shouldn’t be afraid to take the character even further. Making adjustments in toning down a figure is much easier than having to keep exaggerating.
